Avery and Bedtime

We have tried to stick to a night-time routine with Avery, and this may be proof that it is working. It's so amazing how fast children can learn.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very full Memorial Day weekend. It started on Thursday when Brandt took me to the Lion King. Which was fantastic. It was followed up by some great food for dinner at a friends house. Friday,Avery and I went to the zoo with Hope and Lacey. Avery loves Hope. See spent more time looking at Hope then any of the animals. Saturday morning Brandt went golfing with a few friends. He then came home and started his homemade rootbeer for a BBQ later that night. At the BBQ Avery got her first taste of a swimming pool and I think I have a fish on my hands. Sunday we celebrated Brandt's 29th Birthday. Avery helped Dad blow out the candles and eat his cake. Monday we went to the zoo as a family and Avery rode a carousel. She was not sure what to think about it. She also had her first taste of dippin dots. Of course she loved them. Later that night we went to Hafer park and had another BBQ. Avery loved being out at the park and seemed to really enjoy herself. To top of a crazy few days Avery and I went swmimming with some friends on Tuesday. I think we are going to relax for the rest of the week.

Playroom

Yeah! We finally turned our guest bedroom into a playroom. I was getting sick of having toys all over the family room. I saw a toy shelf in Pottery Barn Kids that I really wanted but of course we could not afford it so, Brandt built it for me. It was a bit more complicated than expected but it turned out great.

Avery's New Trick

This one is for the Grandmas. Avery has now become an official walker. She has tried and tried these last couple months, but it has only been within the past few days that she has been able to do this. We are not sure if this is a good thing, as she is able to get into more trouble quickly, but she seems to enjoy herself. She doesn't even try to crawl anymore.
