Yum, Chocolate Suckers
I was sick a week ago and Avery was having a mischevious day. She broke a glass apothocary jar, she pulled out and ripped up all of the tissues from the box, she pulled all of her clothes out of her drawers, she pulled all the tupperware out of the cupboard. She only took a 45 minute nap. So, when the evening came and Avery wanted to sit still and eat a chocolate sucker I let her and this is what happened.

Our Trip to Canada
We went to Banff, Canada (about 80 miles west of Calgary) a couple weeks ago for a meeting where Brandt was presenting some of his reasearch. Thanks to the Grandparents for letting us drop Avery off in Utah while we enjoyed a late spring (winter) vacation. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the breathtaking landscapes of Canada.

We stayed at the Fairmont Springs Hotel in Banff, one of the oldest hotels in western Canada.

Every turn provides a perfect photo backdrop.

Downtown Banff, a fun little tourist town.

We rode the Gondola up to the summit overlooking the city. Amazing views all around.

We drove out to beautiful (yet frozen) Lake Louise and took an enjoyable sleigh ride around the lake.

We stopped by a frozen waterfall where ice climbers were almost at the top. The blue hint in the ice comes from silt created by glaciers.

As you can see, they still have a little more snow on the ground than we do.
