An Uncommon Occurance in Oklahoma
Well, we don't get many snow storms in Oklahoma so we thought we would let Avery enjoy the brief snow flurry that followed yesterday's ice storm while it lasted....As you can see she was having a great time.

Our Latest Find
Since moving to Oklahoma, Brandt and I have discovered a new hobby of refinishing old furniture. It's amazing what a good sanding, a gallon of paint, one sheet of beadboard, some new knobs, and a little effort can do to an old, dated hutch. We really needed some more storage space in our kitchen, and Craigslist delivered.

Christmas Vacation (One Month Late)
So it has been a hectic month since returning to Oklahoma from our annual Christmas Vacation in Utah that always goes by too quickly. We had a wonderful time with our families and friends, and tried to do as many fun activities as possible. This Christmas was extra special, as it was Avery's first.

The annual Esplin Family Christmas Party wouldn't be complete without a visit from Santa Claus. Avery didn't seem to understand the significance yet, but maybe next year.

Thanks to Doug and Janice for hosting our annual "Oklahoma Friends" reunion. We missed Summer and baby Sayla.
