Latest Project

I decided I wanted to make Avery some slippers for Christmas, so yesterday I was surfing the web for a pattern. I came across this pattern for little shoes and thought they would be fun to make. I just used fabric scraps I had around the house so they are not very girly but I think they are cute for an hours worth of work. If any of you are interested in making some I will share the pattern.

Shopaholic?

Avery has become a pretty good little shopper lately. Who wouldn't be when you could lounge like this while shopping?

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

That's right, it is caramel making season! This has been a family tradition for generations and now I am passing the tradition on to Avery. She even helped stir the caramels this year! Yum!!

Twilight

Yes, I am that girl who goes to the midnight showing of Twilight. I went with a bunch of friends and we had a great time. We were in a theater full of screaming teenage girls which may have made it more fun! I didn't get home until 3:00 and of course that was the day Avery decided not to take a nap, but it was all worth it!

Before and After

We have discovered that Avery is becoming quite the little "wiggle worm," as she has learned to maneuver herself into--or out of--some pretty interesting positions. Here are some of her latest antics.

My New Tricks

I am starting to sit up on my own.

I do crunches

I have an angry face which is followed by screaming and shaking.

I can jump in my bouncer.

Domestic Diva

Avery has become a little domestic diva. She really enjoys helping me fold clothes. I hope she can take over altogether soon! I hate folding clothes!

Pumpkin Carving with the Wrights

Last Monday our good friends the Wrights invited us over to carve pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. Brandt carved the family pumpkin and Avery hand painted one of her own. It was her first experience with paint and she really wanted to eat it but we managed to get a little on the pumpkin.

Fall Vacation in Utah

Avery and I went home for the "Deer Hunt" in October. In my family you don't actually hunt during the deer hunt. We rent a hotel in Salt Lake, shop and make crafts all night with my girl cousins, aunts, and of course my grandma. Avery and I had a fun time with my family "hunting".

Eating Lunch With My Mom and Sisters

We also had a Halloween costume preview with the families. Here is our little stinker with her Grandma Esplin and some of her cousins.

My Dad raked the leaves and we thought this was a great place to take a few pics of Avery.

We had a great time at home with both families. We can't wait until Christmas!
